    BTW, Anandtech found that Redis is very sensitive to memory performance (http://www.anandtech.com/show/8959/d...-and-crucial/5). Might be good to add that to the test suite.

      I would assume he tested these higher-than-spec speeds via an overclocking setting in the mainboard BIOS. User selectable above-spec frequencies for both CPU and memory have been a standard feature of enthusiast consumer mainboards for many years.
