I need to update my GPS car device often, so please would I better run windows in VirtualBox or just use Gnome Boxes? (I need USB support)
Cheers
I recently tried Gnome Boxes. I would say you are better off with VirtualBox. I personally prefer VMware Workstation, but VMware effectively killed the desktop products.

I would suggest Linux KVM. It is far more stable than VirtualBox. USB passthrough in Windows VM is stable. Setup VM with virt-manager is similar to GUI in VirtualBox.

Sorry I don't get it.. isn't Gnome Boxes based on KVM?

Last time I checked long time ago, USB pass through, unless you used some wizandry would not support hell a lot of devices. It only support usb mice/keyborads/disks. And doesnt do great job with it too.(good luck with 9 button mouse having all buttons recognised) Don't keep hopes high.
