Phoronix: Snapdragon X1 Elite CPUFreq Support Revised In Latest Linux Patches

While the mainline Linux kernel has begun seeing initial support for various Snapdragon X1 Elite laptops, various feature limitations are outstanding before these Qualcomm-powered laptops really become usable for daily use. For instance, just a few days ago the audio firmware was finally upstreamed to make setting up X1 Elite laptops easier. Another important feature as an example is CPUFreq driver support for CPU frequency scaling to ensure optimal performance and power efficiency...

This is not happening now. I just want you to wake up and take the right course that will lead you to success. Right now, the wrong guys grabbed the steering wheel with whom you could break out of the shit.
Looks like though future of Windows is not Qualcomm. Qualcomm just lost their arm64 license and 2025 will see other companies making arm64 chips for Windows.

I really hope some of them are more friendly towards running alternative operating systems. We need real, UEFI and ACPI, not device tree, also when am I going to be able to buy an actual platform (motherboard + socket able CPU) from somewhere like Amazon (I don't care about niche embedded systems. I want something for the mass-market)?

I'm surprised why the smart Chinese who have always been famous for being able to do something out of the ordinary. I don't understand why they didn't come up with the idea to make laptops only on the GPU. they have a lot of GPU chips after the mining boom. they could quickly develop a board to install only two GPUs on it without CPU involvement. they would get rid of addiction and their product would become very interesting and affordable. The Linux kernel could have been finalized quickly and their domestic market was saturated with what no one else has.
China already develops CPUs and GPUs, there's a lot of smart people working there and when you can't find any smart talent directly you go and poach a former Nvidia employee. The problem they have is that they're just not very good, and that's the politest way I can put it. At least they have something though, Europe and America are still trying to figure out how to achieve technology independence (it is very bad that we all rely on Taiwan for semiconductor manufacturing) and China doesn't have that problem, and when you see the various YouTube videos of the electronics markets they have out there, there's nothing else like that. I really don't know what exactly is holding them back.
