Why are the speedometer results awesome on lunar lake and poor on strix?
That's actually an important metric for webdev.

Having said all that, LL doesn't appear to handily beat out SP in efficiency.

Hey Michael, Thanks for the review. Do you have planned at some point looking at the Lunar Lake battery life for browsing or video playing? Allegedly Windows gets great numbers, I haven't been able to see any Linux numbers just yet.Last edited by nachoplus; 16 October 2024, 02:06 PM.

Once they sort out the kernel driver or Mesa performance issues for the Intel iGPU, LL still looks compelling for the ultra portable / maximum battery life crowd.

Michael
Thanks for the tests.
The following statement is not correct, since the Strix do not support HFI:
> So just keep in mind that this is the performance right now on Ubuntu 24.10. Or in similar regard, AMD also has more Linux performance improvements coming for their Strix AI 300 series SoCs too.
Also, did you only change the EPP Sysfs or did you used power-profiles-daemon to change these?
If you used power-profiles-daemon - which version?
Edit: Seems like ppd was used, since boost was disabled on amd powersave profileLast edited by ptr1337; 16 October 2024, 11:44 AM.
