The real problem is that it's not baked in ACPI Tables, and that's the same issue with more modern laptops and S3 suspend, enabled in bios, disabled in ACPI because of Microsoft pushing for modern standby or whatever bullshit (no I don't need to receive emails on standby, go f urself)
And the other problem is that those acpi tables are such a buggy mess that you can decompile them, but can't even recompile them ever, let alone after editing them.
