140,092 english games for windows.
for macos i get this result:
38,556 english games on macos
for linux
25,095 english games for linux and steamOS
well this result surprise me but sadly this statistic is not usefull in the question how many games you can play on linux
because many games the store and steam app does not list as playable with linux but if you activate proton compatibility mode manually the game works anyway for most of the time.
it does surprise me a little but but sadly the numbers are not trustworthy because i have games in my steam account officially only windows but as soon as i activate proton compatibility layer the game runs away.

or the apple case people buy the device for mobile work and only because they have the device anyway they play on it.
in the first case mobile gaming is the primary force that makes people buy the device
in the second case people DO NOT BUY THE DEVICE for mobile gaming instead they buy it for mobile work.
and they only play on the apple device because they already have the device.
and it is a fact that linux is a good gaming platform and macos it not good for gaming.
i see zero benefit from macos for gaming. macos is a negative factor...

for a gamer it is complete idiotic. thats why i told you mobile gamers buy a steam deck and not a apple product.
you claim mobile gamers buy apple products... this point even backed up by steam statistic i do not believe at all.
people who buy apple hardware for mobile gaming did not buy the hardware for mobile gaming at all they bought it for other reasons for example "mobile work" and because they already have the hardware for mobile work they end up useing the same hardware as a second class gaming device.
in other words no one buy apple hardware for mobile gaming.

Covers use of MoltenGL for one year for one game/app title with less than $100K revenue per year. Covers up to 2 developers/testers.
Price: $399.00"
i really do not buy a apple device and use macos to then finance 400€ to make openGL run on MACOS...
its insanity and not sane.

and directX11 over DXVk runs by runnel it to moltenVK to metal ?
we only need moltenVK because apple does not want to implement vulkan...
