Phoronix: LongArch Patches Updated A Tenth Time For The Linux Kernel

With the tenth iteration of the LoongArch CPU architecture patches published on Saturday, it's looking like work is settling down and this Chinese MIPS-derived, RISC-V-inspired architecture could soon be going mainline...

phoronix The image you have been using for the Loongson 3A5000 is not real. You can see that the digit "5" from 3A5000 looks weird. That image was actually photoshopped from a 3A4000 image (see the image from this article https://www.techspot.com/news/90544-...rst-ryzen.html, they look exactly the same, except the digit "4" is replaced by "5"). You should probably source the real image from Loongon's website or from some newer reports.

Oh no typo in article name "LongArch"
You may have to re-link the forum page after fixing it...

        Tested as working 😁

What is Loongson used for? Chinese desktoops? Coonsumer devices?

Edit: For a wonder, they have a Wiki entry. Got it in my noggin' it'd be banned in the West.

The government and relevant enterprises, including some satellites, are also in use.few consumer grade equipment and the market is very small, so civil promotion is unrealistic at present.

Again with the kernel soaking up fringe devices when readily available devices (or has been) gets told to get lost.

you were saying here that loongArch was just another MiPS code renamed, wich now is clearly not the case. Loogson had loongISA wich was a MIPS64 maintaining compatibility. They really mastered MIPS than they launched loongArch wich a different ISA. You should remind these to readers because they respect you. You constructed argumentation based on suppositions and not complete documentation
