    Nice. Full support can't come soon enough.

    OTOH it's funny OpenBSD already "supports" it, although I don't know what that entails.

          The RK3588 should be well supported long before Apple Silicon is.

            Yeah, but to what extend (GPU is still a blob AFAIK). How much work is done on Rk3288 or Rk3399 nowadays, Apple Silicon will stay highly compatible and in the limelight (industry leading perf and efficiency) unlike most ARM-fire-and-forget-Socs.

            For tinkering I am leaning towards RK3588, but for working/using/x86-replacement I am leaning towards a Mac.
            (Might end up with both TBH )
