    Been there done that and agree completely. The absolute worst are the blade servers. A rack full of 1U servers is a close 2nd. Cozy to stand behind though if you get a chill!

    I had a kooky old physics professor in high school who was always ranting about protecting your hearing, because once its damaged, its permanent, there is no fix. He would get all worked up if he overheard students talking about attending a rock concert. Protect your ears!! he'd shout while waving his arms around. Here I am 25 years later, and I have to admit, the old man was 100% right.

        That‘s not true. Noise comes from friction and turbulence, therefore fast spinning objects with little friction and turbulence can be pretty quiet.
