    Yay faster zSeries so banks can run 31bit cobol programs slightly faster :P

      NNPA sounds like something such as a Neural Network Processor(?) Architecture, for which FP16 is an expected capability. It may be interesting to see if a zSeries PU can be configured for dedicated Neural Network processing, or whether all PUs will have that capability, or ?

        I guess they are adding Neural Network ability to IIPs? AFAIK they are vastly underutilized right now.
