A free instruction set is one thing, it will free the industry from ARM and its license cost, but free and reproduce-able(for someone being able to pay a fab) silicon is what this world needs. So the actual architecture being free, this would be a dream.
A architecture were companies can work together improving.

Just keep in mind, design by committee is rarely a good thing

Kendryte is a series of AI chips which focuses on IoT, and the 1st-gen is named K210; Presented by Canaan Inc.

Are we sure that SOC/CPU for IoT from China with closed sources should be so supported?

you are being spied by usa, with proofs, and you are still concerned about china not delivering open source hardware.

maybe you should wake up from your current mind state.
