    Other here report that BIOS fixes will be forthcoming.

    I find it appealing that AMD and their partners didn't catch this a long time ago as this issue has been known for almost a year.

      on consumer hardware none gives a crap about more than the bare minimum needed to boot Windows, and servers (the class of hardware where there is indeed some validation going on) don't suspend so I doubt anyone even tried that.
