It's an old-gen (Zen+ instead of Zen2) architecture with an old gen (12nm instead of 7nm) process.
    ## VGA ##
    AMD: X1950XTX, HD3870, HD5870
    Intel: GMA45, HD3000 (Core i5 2500K)

why is it better to cannibalise chips which are sold in real numbers instead?

I find the new AMD line-up of notebook cpus quite attractive and competitive with Intel.
Now, I hope that the OEMs finally build a notebook around these cpus that can keep up with the TDP so that the user can really use the power.
