Phoronix: Some Optimizations Inbound In The Linux Kernel Space For x86/x86_64

Across Ingo Molnar 's x86-focused kernel branches (including x86 64-bit) there are some performance optimizations to note in this new material for Linux 4.20~5.0...

Benchmarks forthcoming (Well, certainly by RC1 tagging when will have time and can test it all together as users will see.)

Probably zero impact on everything except kernel benchmarks and some marginal corner case workload which spends a lot of time in kernel.

This is why the kernel is probably the best open source software out there, because it has sane development environment, unlike most of the crappy userland with their shit guidelines resulting in code rotting from a performance perspective.

For someone who whines about micro-optimizations in patches and claims they don't matter, you know what else doesn't matter? Their shitty opinion.
