Dragonboards are the only thing interesting on ARM, apart from that, most stuff is sold at large quantities so only OEMs making phones can afford to buy them. So you are stuck on Allwinner crap and Rockchip, maybe some Amlogic.
Another thing I'd like to see is SATA & ECC support. But that would probably go out of cheap enthusiast and into professional high-cost territory.
Afaik the only affordable device with that is Helios4 NAS (based on Marvell ARMADA SoM, which is why it is relatively cheap for what it offers) https://shop.kobol.io/
This is the second batch they manage to fund with preorders. I did preorder one in this second batch so I'll probably get one eventually (they say by october 2018 but whatever)
I assume that they will make another batch eventually after they are done shipping this one, so subscribe to their mailing list or something to be notified when there is another batch.
EDIT: There is also GnuBee (1 and 2), which don't have ECC RAM but have 6 SATA ports (uses 3x ASM1061 Sata controllers on each of the 3 PCIe lanes of the Mediatek SoC) and two gigabit ethernet ports.Last edited by starshipeleven; 17 September 2018, 04:10 PM.

I'm just running some of the benchmarks on a badly cooled RockPro64 with the worlds slowest sd card, some results:

Just wish it had SATA onboard, but I guess you can use the PCIe slot for that.
