AMD Is Working On A Low-Cost, ARM 64-bit Opteron Development Board

My assumption had already jumped to the day when 64-bit ARM chips are used on cheaper desktops and laptops. If Nvidia offered the hardware in their new Shield game console with 8 or 16GB of RAM and Ubuntu or Fedora Linux, I would order one as a new desktop today. ( My current desktop is much more powerful, but I am sick of fighting my kids for it. )

I use an exynos 5422 as desktop (odroid XU3), and it even has some containers to compile for debian jessie and wheezy and ubuntu trusty.
I occassionally start mixxx to pretend that I am a DJ (yes, I have carefully removed pulseaudio, everything is jack), with cpu to spare.
I also have an intel i920 with an R9-270 for gaming. I usually don't game so that's 150+W that can be turned off.

It would be nice to get Android TV officially as option for this kind of hardware, would be a plus over the Jetson TK1.
