Phoronix: Cloudflare Continues To Praise Open-Source OpenBMC

It was just one and a half years ago that Cloudflare began rolling out OpenBMC on their massive array of servers to replace traditional proprietary Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) firmware stacks. Since the end of last year they've been talking up their successes using OpenBMC and now as we approach two years of their OpenBMC use within production, they continue singing the praise of this open-source, Linux-based BMC software stack...

Cloudflare, similar to Valve, has been a very active and engaged citizen of Open Source. I hope the OpenBMC project continues to push forward and become usable on even more machines.

I learned about Pingora here and sounds pretty cool (though above my skill set to leverage directly). OpenBMC sounds cools and nice to see big players using and contributing to it. Not Cloudflare related, but Cockpit is another really cool project that I have been using more and more (though kind of fits in the administrative space like OpenBMC). I very much appreciate these kinds of projects, and the companies and entities that create and contribute to them!
