Not really, the EPYC 3000 are for the embedded market. They replace the old Opteron 3000 series, and compete with Xeon-D.

AMD has nothing to offer in the 35w-95w TDP range for socketed CPU's with ECC memory on standard ATX sized boards. This was the realm of Opteron 4000. Xeon E3 owns this market now, as AMD has abandoned it.

It's a logical default based on the US-based proprietor, the US-focused content, and the American English language of the site. Foreign visitors should be a little more mindful and aware of these things in a forum.

Opensource is a US-focused content? Because last time I checked, Phoronix is about opensource software/hardware.

No wonder Americans have this stereotype of thinking the world revolves around them...

Wow, try not to be so butt-hurt. English is a de facto language of business and tech in many countries. And it's the kernel's official language (i.e. for comments, docs, etc.).

Not only that, but Asrock Rack has a range of AM4 server boards, mostly in mini-ITX and micro-ATX form factors. Their documentation details which CPUs can be used with ECC support.

How far off is a 100% FOSS AMD system? Gotta keep pushing on AMD for this...
