Has anyone ever reviewed how well Linux runs on a laptop connected from a HDMI port to a LCD monitor's DVI port?
One would need the adapter. I was curious if there are any issues or if it's totally compatible with good picture/connection etc.
I am shopping for a laptop and would like to get one equipped with a HDMI port (some have Display Ports?). Same question applies to the Display Port in some notebooks.
Can anyone tell me the status on this? I am not sure if different distros support it better/worse or what. I'd probably triple boot on the laptop with Vista (it's probably already on there), Ubuntu 8.10 and Fedora 10.
Any info on this?
