        I was thinking the same thing. When it comes to [what should be] stable filesystems, the word "fix" is not something I want to see in an update.

          If you're worried about the word "fix" here... you should read changelogs for firmware updates for RAID controllers or the Oracle DBMS. And these are supposed to be powering mission-critical systems.

            Look at the changelog notes, the ext4 changes are extremely boring. "Race condition on shutdown" is basically the only interesting bug, and I bet even that has certain prereqs required to hit it.
