Phoronix: More AMDGPU DC + RadeonSI/RADV vs. NVIDIA Linux OpenGL+Vulkan Benchmarks

Last week I published the Radeon RX Vega Performance With Mesa 17.3-dev + LLVM 6 + drm-next-4.15-dc article offering a fresh look at the RX Vega 56/65 Linux performance using the new AMDGPU DC code that's likely to be merged in Linux 4.15. As well, the latest Mesa 17.3-dev Git code built against LLVM 6.0 SVN while all compared to the latest NVIDIA driver. Out of that article came some premium requests to see a larger comparison, so here that is...

    Thanks Michael for these benchmarks!
Performance with RadeonSI looks good, but Radeon hardware... It will be funny when Volta will be released.

So much more needs to improve. To see an R9 285 leap frog the RX 580 in more than one result speaks to how much more the code needs to be flushed out, never mind the old games poorly designed/optimized for OpenGL: bring on Vulkan replacements.

do you expect nvidia to suddenly open drivers with volta?

But will be interesting to see how it goes when the new CS:GO update is out soon with Vulkan support.
Michael, what has Valve told you?

Nope, but Radeon will be far behind.

Skimming the article I missed that one. Perhaps having brought everything to Linux their next step is Vulkan support?
