How are deep-learning operations per second different than normal operations per second?

Do any of the PTS benchmarks require recompiling to support any of the new CUDA/Pascal features? Specifically the ones that bench raw compute through OpenCL, etc.

        Oops, wrong NVIDIA HPC thread.

The only binary-based OpenCL/Compute tests in PTS are Blender or that one blob benchmark forgot its name but I hardly use it... (something mark I think...) But all of the other CUDA/OpenCL tests are built from source. When upgrading to CUDA 8.0, PTS will see the version string in the compiler changed so it automatically rebuilds the tests assuming you are using the phoronix-test-suite benchmark/install commands (as opposed to just the 'run' command).

I'd rather have OpenCL 2.x than a new CUDA release...

              hear hear

of course we'll be waiting until the heat death of the universe for opencl 2.x

In test cuda 8.0 stay working without problem with nvenc sdk 7.01 (nvidia drivers 370.28)

Cuda run file comes with nvidia driver 367.48, however is optional if you have nvidia driver upper to 367.48
