    Now this is an interesting product:

    It's a graphics card that's supposed to automatically adjust its speed, voltage etc. according to usage. In normal desktop use it should be passively cooled. While gaming it would automatically overclock itself and turn the fan on. Truly ideal for someone who wants complete silence while working but likes to play games as well.

    The big question: can this feature be made to work in Linux? If so, how would Compiz or some other light 3d app such as Google Earth fit in? Wouldn't want Compiz alone to cause the fan to spin up. Maybe someone at Phoronix could eventually give one of these a try. Should it work as advertised then I wants one!!

    In essence is it still using the temp sensor to determine the on off state. nvclock probably already has the needed support for this function.
