When I go to ATI.com and I check for Linux 32 bits driver for Radeon 9550 he gives the 8.40.4 and if I check for HD Radeon he gives me the 8.41.7. Why?

cool stuff. i ditched ATI a yr ago due to the chronic reboot syndrome on any distro.

i'm now seriously considering an ATI 2900 pro or something like that. I have a Nvidia 6150/430 MCP based ASUS PVVM board with PCIe, AMD athlon X2 3800+ and 1GB DDR2 667mhz RAM...for anybody who has some experience-- how well does an ATI card do on a NVIDIA motherboard? any compatibilty issues?
