Basically CEC is overrated anyway. Even if you can control Kodi with it usually some keys are very hard to press like the option key, with Philips TV you get a menu first then you can select it. With Toshiba you have to press 2 keys to get the remote into the mode that you can press it. I would just use a simple Android remote app or a mce USB remote, those usually work directly. My Pi works fine with LG via CEC but a Fire TV (Stick) does not work. You need fully connected HDMI cables btw, some extra cheap ones did not work.Comment
