Ah-ha, it is so top secret, you can only read on phoronix about it. Sure, buddy.

What a silly price really. This GPU is supposed to be a mid-range card (top tier). So we are now expected to pay $450+ for such cards? Never mind that current supply issues and mining will render these unavailable or with an insane markup.

you have a deep misunterstanding of what top secret means.
it does not mean no one knows it. and it also does not mean no one can simple guess what it is.
if you randomly guess what it is then you can still be right without getting any real secret information.

but be sure they do tunnel drilling with automated tunnel boring machines and they use the stone to get the elements they want.

you are free to not believe it. who cared. really who cares.. no one.

i just explaine to him how the -US military gets rare earth elements outside of the China supply chain.

it was the same with steel.. china selled a lot of steel to the usa and us military found that china steel is good in china and the steel they send to usa was all fraud and sub-standard. thats why donald trump startet to make steel in the usa again.

if you think that any military in the world depent on official china supply chain for rare earth elements then you are naive.

they know how to find it and they use automated tunnel boring machines to get the stone.

this supply chain of the military is not open-market and you can not buy it. it is only for their internal use.

if you have a privat company and you need to buy it from the open market then yes you depent on china supply chain.

but military does not. they have their own mining operation and it is conected to deep unterground bases they build as bunker.

Qarid, seriously, you need to see someone, anyone.

The pandemic lockdown hits some people harder than others, and you've been showing signs that your mental health has been suffering.

Isolation literally drives people to madness, please, just get some help.

the shortage is the TSMC 3/5/7 nm fab...

you can claim ARM use less mm² die area but according to my sources the difference between ARM and 386_64 is only 5%
You may forgotten one zero because is mostly 50%. Also i don't care if it is TSMC or China 15-30nm, smartphones don't have shortages. Once we see 4 super heavy Apple/Nuvia like cores and 5 teraflops from 2.5 today, its over.

If AMD keeps up the price after gamers can finally get a hold of these, then we all have a right to be outraged.
Agreed on the price. This is a major disappointment. I paid $350 USD for my 5700XT and the replacement mid-range is now 20-25% higher cost? F that.
