    These are surprisingly nice machines and the power envelope is also pretty good. These have a more sensible layout of the external ports than the NUC, though I'm not sure how it looks on the inside.

    I'd be interested in getting one but they're a little bit on the expensive side.

      The multi-NIC variants could be interesting for setting up a pfSense router. It's hard to find passive alternatives with 2 (preferable 3) NICs.

              These look nice, unfortunately you cannot buy them anywhere yet.

              Given the track record of this company, they should appear on the market sooner or later... But couldn't they have made the release/"unveiling" when the machines are available on the market?

                Using VLAN and a cheap switch that supports VLAN make the choice of you mainboard a lot easier.

                    Why? There Are working Foss Drivers with Hardware decoding and encoding. The only missing thing is deinterlacing.
