I didn't realise they were still making that false claim. The most recent report (covered on https://register.co.uk) shows it's still just absolutely hilarious. (if not for the fact that it's out there killing people already).
"FSD" is a misleading product name, not a claim. Before you can engage it you acknowledge prompts that you must remain in control, e.g. "These features are designed to become more capable over time; however the currently enabled features do not make the vehicle autonomous. The currently enabled features require a fully attentive driver, who has their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any moment."

If and when FSD is statistically safer than a human driver, it will reduce deaths and injuries from automobile accidents.

It's not a matter of purchasing power.
      It's about immediate feasibility.

Sometimes when debugging a graphics driver you can't use the display (at all).

And if and when we have flying ponies and teleportation, that will also reduce deaths and injuries from automobile accidents. What's your point?

In fact, "Flying Pony Mode" would be just as accurate a term for their current *utterly clown-tier* system, and infinitely less dishonest.
