IMO I think the issue is more the wayland protocol, which has been in unstable for ages. last I checked libinput support for tablets it'self is pretty good, but I do agree docs could be better

Yeah they 'support' it but there's no configurability, or if there is it's undocumented, at least last i checked. I mean tablets often do work on it i've noticed, but critical configuration features (such as setting the tablet aspect ratio to match the screen without which all your drawing will get skewed, pretty damn important and most users need it even if a lot of them aren't actually aware of it's necessity: and of course just basic pressure sensitivity settings are also missing)

It can read input from the devices but that's where support ends.
