PHXCMS-8 Enters Development

As I shared last week on Twitter, plans for PHXCMS-8 were conceived last week, which will power a major re-design of Phoronix.com. This process will take several months before the new content management system and design will be rolled-out, but in the meantime are a few tweaks to the Phoronix home-page.

Details on PHXCMS-8 (the eighth generation of the Phoronix content management system) will be announced soon along with visual design changes to the Phoronix.com layout. For right now, feedback is welcome on site changes you would like to see for Phoronix.com. You can let us know in the forums. The new version will offer new capabilities, better integration with Phoronix Test Suite / OpenBenchmarking.org services, and offer greater Phoronix Premium features.

This morning, the home-page has been modified as just one step for something that has been begging for improvements. Now the news stream is integrated with the latest Phoronix article stream itself, as you'll see when visiting Phoronix.com. This should streamline checking for new content on Phoronix, if you're not following us via RSS, Twitter, or other means.
