KDE Software Compilation 4.6.2 has been released as the latest monthly point release to the KDE SC 4.6 desktop. It contains the usual bug-fixes, translation updates, and other smaller items that can be safely pushed prior to KDE SC 4.7 this summer. This month's release is also dedicated to the GNOME community for their major GNOME 3.0 release due out today.

KDE SC 4.6.2 is codenamed "Congrats" as a means of congratulating their leading open-source desktop competition on the GNOME 3.0 release.

Fixes in Okular, Kopete, and Dolphin are among the changes for this KDE "Congrats" release.

The release announcement can be found at KDE.org.
