Just five days after announcing the Mesa 7.3 Release Candidate 1 with improved GLSL 1.20 support, Intel GEM support, and Direct Rendering Infrastructure 2 integration, the second release candidate has now surfaced.

Mesa 7.3 Release Candidate 2 has over 50 new commits that mostly bring build fixes for OpenBSD and Windows operating systems. This release also has build fixes for those still using GCC 2.95. Worth noting on the 3D side are a few Intel i965 fixes.

The (short) release announcement for Mesa 7.3 Release Candidate 2 can be read at SourceForge. Mesa 7.3 should be out soon followed by a stabilized version that will be called Mesa 7.4. After that it's time to get excited as Gallium3D will be merged to master and go on to form Mesa 7.5/7.6.
