WINE
Wine 1.7.34 was released today as the latest bi-weekly development release for this program to run Windows programs -- and games -- on Linux and other operating systems.

The notable addition found in Wine 1.7.34 is surround sound support in DirectSound. There's also better text run support in DirectWrite, HTML engine fixes, support for WBEM objects, more C/C++ run-time functions were implemented, and various bug fixes. A total of 63 bugs were fixed by this 1.7.34 release that marks the first development release of 2015.

There's nothing new to report today with the Direct3D multi-threading patches, Direct3D 10/11 work, or the Direct3D 9 state tracker in Mesa (Gallium3D Nine). The Wine 1.7.34 release announcement can be viewed as always at WineHQ.org.
