Version 5.2.0 of the XZ utilities were released on Sunday.

Updated as part of XZ's liblzma library for LZMA compression is multi-threaded compression support, speed optimizations, support for symbol versioning, and updated Windows MSVC build support.

XZ itself with the 5.2.0 release gained multi-threaded decompression support using the --threads / -T option, new command line options, and other changes.

The xzdiff and xzgrep commands also now support .lzo files when lzop is installed.
