Jolla's first smartphone officially goes on sale today! The device, of course, is running the MeeGo-derived Sailfish OS with Wayland and there's Android app compatibility.

As covered earlier, the first Jolla smartphone features a 4.5-inch qHD display with five-point multi-touch, 8 megapixel rear camera, dual-core ARM 1.4GHz processor via a Qualcomm SoC, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of integrated storage. The device carries a price-tag of 399€.

If you were hoping to buy a Jolla phone with Sailfish OS today, there's only 450 devices available today and those are from pre-order customers. Jolla is still working on ramping up device manufacturing. For catching up with Jolla, visit Jolla.com and check out their new video below.
