Glibc 2.19 Adds New Features, Many Bug Fixes
The latest version of the GNU C Library is now available. At version 2.19, glibc adds many new features and other improvements.
The official release announcement for glibc 2.19 has yet to be issued on the GNU.org project site but per the tagged .tar.xz, the release is just about ready.
Found in glibc 2.19 are a large number of bug-fixes, updated translations, security vulnerability fixes, support for new locales, substantially revised locales, ISO updates, SystemTap support improvements, support for PowerPC64LE, preliminary documentation on multi-thread / async-signal / other features, and various other minor enhancements and improvements.
