PHORONIX
Having been succeeded by OpenBenchmarking.org, Phoronix Global is facing closure at the end of the 2013 calendar year.

Phoronix Global is the web-based results repository service that allows users to anonymously (and optionally via registration) uploading their Phoronix Test Suite results to the web. Obviously for those reading Phoronix for more than a few times know that this service has long been succeeded by the superior OpenBenchmarking.org platform. Phoronix Global was integrated in the Phoronix Test Suite software going back to the v0.1~v0.2 days for sharing test results and facilitating side-by-side performance comparisons.

OpenBenchmarking.org has been around for nearly three years and launched in early 2011 as part of Phoronix Test Suite 3.0-Iveland where it replaced Phoronix Global. Since then, the Phoronix Test Suite integration of OpenBenchmarking.org has expanded and continues to flourish. OpenBenchmarking.org will continue to play an important role in the Phoronix Test Suite, its continued integration with Phoromatic, and our other automated testing products to come.

With Phoronix Global having played no real role since it was replaced by the feature-surpassed OpenBenchmarking.org, it is finally in the process of retirement. While it's been not part of the Phoronix Test Suite for the better part of three years, with there being millions of installations of PTS, there's understandably still some old PTS 1.x/2.x users that should now be encouraged to upgrade.

As shown by the results listings, there's still new result uploads and comparisons every few days. The latest stable Phoronix Test Suite release is version 4.6.1 and 4.8.0 is coming soon. If you're still running a version of the Phoronix Test Suite prior to v3.0, it's important to upgrade for OpenBenchmarking.org support and many more robust features and functionality.
