Debian 7.0 "Wheezy" Installer Release Candidate 1

The first release candidate of Debian 7.0 "Wheezy" has been released as the official release of the "Squeeze" successor approaches in the coming months.

Previous to the Wheezy RC1 that arrived on Sunday, the previous snapshot was the fourth beta release that was published last November. Found with the Debian Installer 7.0 Release Candidate 1 is brltty supporting Orca in GNOME 3.x sessions, improved speech synthesis support inside cdebconf, the default UEFI display resolution on the Debian CD has been changed to 800x600 for maximum compatibility, GRUB2 has improved support for EFI installations, various GNU/kFreeBSD fixes, and a number of new drivers have been added to the installer.

Most of the drivers added to the Debian 7.0 installer are for enabling new wired/wireless network adapters to provide better connectivity during the Debian GNU/Linux installation. Beyond just introducing new Linux kernel hardware drivers, the existing Ralink WiFi driver now supports some new device IDs and there is also now support for the Lenovo 10/100 Ethernet USB dongle.
