Another bug-fix pull request was sent in on Tuesday for the Btrfs file-system in the yet-to-be-released Linux 3.8 kernel. Chris Mason notes that he's still working out an older CRC corruption issue.

The Btrfs pull request sent in by Chris Mason on Tuesday takes care of a regression in the balance ioctls, an orphan truncate patch to take care of an obscure corruption during xfstests, and problems with sub-volume quotas, plus some other basic Btrfs fixes.

Chris was quick to note though he's still working on a CRC corruption issue and it's a problem that isn't recent. Fortunately, they are at least making progress and are now able to solidly reproduce the problem. "We've been hammering away at a crc corruption as well, which I was really hoping to get into this pull. It isn't nailed down yet, but we were finally able to get a solid way to reproduce. The only good news is it isn't a recent regression."

This latest Linux 3.8 Btrfs pull request can be found on the kernel mailing list.
