Systemd 197 Brings "Quite Some Cool New Stuff"

Lennart Poettering announced the release of systemd 197 on Monday evening. This new release of the increasingly popular init system and service manager for Linux does introduce several new features.

Among the new items to systemd 197 is improvements to timer units, udev now supporting different naming policies, a Bootchart implementation for the systemd tree, read-ahead logic can now detect if a Btrfs file-system is on an SSD/HDD, logind can now automatically syspend/hibernate/shutdown the system on idle, and there's many other changes throughout its growing code-base.
