In time for those who plan to spend their weekend playing games natively on Linux, Valve Software has expanded their Linux beta program.

Announced to the Steam Community is word that "We've just expanded the limited public beta by a large amount - which means another round of email notifications - so check your inbox!"

Valve's Linux team hasn't disclosed exactly what is a "large amount" but originally it was just one thousand Linux gamers participating, then they started adding more, and in late November ramped it up to an additional 5,000 Linux gamers.
