Following the recent Qt 5.0 Beta release, the Qt Creator 2.6 development environment is also now at beta.

The Qt Creator 2.6 IDE transforms "Targets" into "Kits" (device type targeting), Android and QNX platform support has been merged into the integrated development environment for targeting with support, Symbian support was dropped over lack of maintainership, and there's experimental support for Gerrit.

A full list of all the changes for Qt Creator 2.6 compared to the earlier release can be found via the changes file on Git.

There's also a Nokia blog post going into detail about today's release of the Qt Creator 2.6 Beta.
