The OpenIndiana crew responsible for this community-based OpenSolaris-derived operating system using the Illumos kernel is out with their first update in quite some time.

OpenIndiana 2015.03 is today's new release and it does away with all Sun Studio compiled C++ libraries on the system. OpenIndiana 2015.03 also updates a ton of software and adds in new software like Enlightenment 0.19.3, Qt 4.8.6, Emacs 24.3, etc.

For graphics support there is X.Org Server 1.12.4, Mesa 10.5.1, and the NVIDIA 340.76 proprietary graphics driver.
