Movie Playback

For a more detailed comparison of the image quality differences between ATI and NVIDIA under Linux, below are several uncompressed shots from a Radeon X1800XL 256MB and GeForce 7800GTX 256MB card. These shots were taken using mplayer with Fedora Core 5 using fglrx 8.26.18 and NVIDIA 1.0-8762 drivers. Additional image quality comparison shots to come soon. On the left side are the captured images from the ATI Radeon X1800XL 256MB while on the right is from the NVIDIA GeForce 7800GTX 256MB. The video-output used was gl2, since presently using X-Video will crash X.Org with the most recent drivers and the X1k parts that were tried.
