Pointed out today by a Phoronix reader was yet another hidden option (or "Easter egg") in the 8.26.18 ATI Linux display drivers. During the driver installation, installed in /etc/ati are two files named logo.xbm.examples and logo_mask.xbm.examples. If you remove the .examples extension, and log-off or restart X you are then presented with a nice little detail.
He had also passed along an alternate set of files, which yield a different image.
When logo.xbm and logo_mask.xbm are placed in /etc/ati/ the effect is visible after restarting X. If you're interested in the Phoronix xbm files, they are available for download here. This hidden feature simply watermarks the screen(s), but is an interesting detail to look at none the less. The image had appeared on both monitors in a Big Desktop configuration.
