8.26.18

Posted by Michael Larabel on Day 32 (July 02, 2006)

Since the 8.26.18 fglrx driver release last Monday, I haven't run into any new ATI problems throughout my usual computing routine. No problems with GDM myself on Fedora Core 5 with the various GNOME updates, however, the problem still seems to be present with some users (though, workarounds are available in most cases). For reference, Big Desktop has also been working fine with these new drivers. Similar to the results in the Phoronix 8.26.18 review, I haven't seen any performance gains (or losses) when using the new drivers on Quake 4, Enemy Territory, and the rest.
