The Lenovo ThinkPad T60 had arrived earlier this week, which was certainly ahead of schedule. This Core Duo laptop was configured with a Mobility RADEON X1400 and 128MB of dedicated video memory. After the newest drivers were released I had thrown on the 8.26.18 fglrx drivers. Using Fedora Core 5 and the 2.6.17 kernel, the drivers had installed fine and the performance was certainly acceptable. More ATI Linux mobile information and thoughts will come throughout this trial, and later this week at Phoronix will be performance numbers from the Mobility Radeon X300 and X1400 in an Intel Core Duo performance article.
