Cedega 5.2

Posted by Michael Larabel on Day 14 (June 14, 2006)

Released yesterday by Transgaming was Cedega v5.2. There are a few new features and game improvements, but it looks like there still is a couple known problems with Cedega + fglrx. One of the problem relates to the Linux drivers only having support for only OpenGL VBO extensions are available, while with NVIDIA both VBO and VAR are available. The other known bug mentioned in the release notes is a compatibility problem with ATI Linux and 64-bit distributions attempting to run Cedega. However, a work-around is available for the 64-bit issue. I have yet to personally give Cedega 5.2 a shot on this system, though, if I come across any other positive/negative areas I will be sure to pass it along.
