Ekiga v2.0

Ekiga (formerly known as GnomeMeeting) v2.00 The Oberoi Release has been released. Features for Ekiga v2.00 include full SIP support, full H.323 support, audio and video support, call transfer, call forwarding on busy, basic instant messaging abilities, message waiting indications, better audio and quality support, support for wideband codecs, echo cancellation, easier NAT transversal, improved camera support, improved Video4Linux2, and supports DBUS. This Ekiga release had occurred on the same day that the GNOME v2.14.0 tarballs are due, and the official GNOME v2.14 release is anticipated for tomorrow -- March 15, 2006. AudConvert v0.52

Augustus of LinuxHardware.o has released the second version of his AudConvert utility. AudConvert is designed to take any audio format and convert it to any other format, according to his statements. However, the only supported formats are Ogg Vorbis, MP3, and FLAC. Features in AudConvert v0.52 include input any directories of files with same directory structure, and multi-threaded support to encode up to eight files simultaneously. This release fixes a bug with directory creation as well as changes the location of a user-interface element. AudConvert v0.52 can be downloaded here.

OpenOffice v2.0.2

In the midst of this CeBIT (and today NVIDIA) havoc, OpenOffice v2.0.2 was recently released. There are quite a few changes beyond OpenOffice v2.0.1, so feel free to hit up the release notes here. More information and the downloads for the various platforms are available here.
