There hasn't been too much to report on lately with regard to Wayland/Weston 1.8 development, but with this next release, the reference Weston compositor's terminal will now have a minimize menu item.

Up to now the Weston Terminal hasn't had a "minimize" option via its context menu. However, Pekka Paalanen of Collabora added that support this week. Pekka explained, "Terminal is a nice app that support fullscreening. To be able to test minimizing of a fullscreen app, add an entry to the context menu. That is the only way to minimize, as window frame is not there when fullscreen."

Aside from this latest commit, the other Weston Git activity is spread all over as mostly minor changes/enhancements.
